Mind Vs Wealth

‘Mind Vs Wealth’
“More gold has been mined from the thoughts of men than has ever been taken from the earth.”
Values, morality, principles, honesty, truthfulness, being trustworthy, and faithful are far superior than the so called precious gems, diamonds, pearls, emeralds, gold etc.
One may possess materialistic richness but if he is not able to talk well with people he will have very few friends.  A poor person who has time to lend his ears to others and has a sweet tongue will be liked, loved and appreciated than a person who is rich but is rude and has no time for others.
The above saying, (“More gold …… the earth.”) also conveys that power of mind is far superior than the ‘power of gold’.
Thoughts and ideas of engineers who are not rich can convert a mountainous area into a dam; Thought and ideas of poets, philosophers and writers who are not rich can change the way people think and live.  On the other hand a rich man bereft of innovative thoughts and ideas may still be acceptable in the society but a person with negative thoughts will bring more harm to the world than can be thought of.
Hence it can be said that,  “Good thoughts were, are and will remain more important than materialistic wealth.”

Need for Electrical Crematoruims in India

“Need for Electrical Crematoriums”
Till date I have been to the cremation of 25-30 persons.  Most of them of men and very few women. Except for one new born baby who was buried rest all were cremated.  Only one case of my cousin was electrically cremated.  Rest all were cremated with the help of woods.
Till date I haven’t been to the cremation ground for picking up of the ashes.  Only in case of my cousin, whose body was electrically cremated, I saw his remains which couldn’t get burned.  They were a bunch of small bones which were brought out in a hot iron container.  The bones were still simmering and giving out smoke.  We had poured water on them which had got drained out from the holes in the container.  After washing the bones with three to four packets of milk the container was carried to the nearby river (Suvarnrekha) and all bones were emptied into it.  The whole process from cremation of my cousin till his bones were immersed in the river took about 2 hours.
I often wonder after returning from the cremation grounds that how the bodies must be burning ?  Are the logs burning properly ?  Are the body parts intact or have got spilled over ?  We also come across cases where stray dogs or certain people carry away the body parts. At times we hear that while burning the bodies rise up (due to contraction of muscles)  which I’m sure must be pretty odd and scary to see.  And then on the third day when the close relatives and friends who go to collect the ashes how they must be doing so.  I sincerely feel that more number of electrical cremation units should come up in all places so that we can get the bodies of our dead relatives and friends burnt in a more dignified manner.
A smart city needs to have the following :
-         a well maintained morgue.
-         an air conditioned vehicle to carry the dead to the burial / cremation ground with dignity.
-         an Electrical Crematorium.
-         an outlet where all paraphernalia needed in the last rites of all communities is made available.
