The bees are busy colleting the honey
Men are busy running after the money
The gazels are grazing the grass
Scientists are busy studying the planet Mars.
An orthopaedician wants an alternative to bones
A biologist dreams of his clones.
Soldiers are getting ready for their missions
Philosophers around the world
Are trying their best to improve everyone’s vision….

Random thoughts: Who is a modern man?
What is it like being a modern person ?
First and foremost requirement is
To give up all old values
like:-
Being faithful in love;
Trying to be honest;
To touch the feet of our parents and elders;
Helping the neighbours......

Poem: Let's Learn to Bear
Let’s Learn to bear
Life is full of flaws
Of our own as well as others.
The problems perplex us.
We feel like flying off on our feathers.
But feathers we have none.
We have to learn to cope up
With the hardships, which may not be right.
It all depends on His might.
He makes us enjoy and suffer both
Strange are His ways and laws.
None have understood the mysticism of life
None would ever be able to do so.
But the very fact of marveling at things
Is also restricted to few.
These few may be called as the blessed ones
Or the doomed ones
As the case may be
Blessed ones are those who have
No hearts to bleed & feel.
No eyes to see
No ears to hear
No hands to give
No mind to share
Doomed ones are those who have all these.
We so often put ourselves amongst the doomed ones.
For in reality most of us are the blessed ones.
Let’s all pray to the God
To put us amongst the doomed ones
So that we may learn
To bleed, to feel, to see, to hear
To share, to give.
In short,
To bear.

Poem:Bless us Lord wiht understandig to understand Your ways
Why have you given poverty ?
O! Lord !
Why do people have to
Go through so much suffering ?
Why everyone can’t have
An access to good health
Good food, good shelter
And most important of all
Good thoughts ?
Why does one get
All the blessings and
On the other hand one is made to suffer so much ?
It’s not possible for
Mortals like us
To fathom these secrets
Of yours
Teach us, guide us,
Bless us with capability
To cherish your blessings
As well as
To endure your sufferings
Without ever forgetting,
You, dear Lord.

Poem: Parting
Parting
When we two parted
In silence and tears.
Half broken hearted
To severe for years.
Pale grew thy cheek and cold
Colder thy kiss;
Truly that hour fore told
Sorrow to this.
The dew of the morning
Sunk chill on my brow.
It felt like the warning
Of what I feel now
Thy vows are all broken
And light is thy frame;
I hear thy name spoken,
And share in its shames.
They name these before me,
A knell to mine ear ;
A shudder comes over me
Why wert though so dear ?
They know not I know thee
Who knew thee too well;
Long, long shall I rue thee,
Too deeply to tell.
In secret we met
In silence I grieve,
That thy heart could forget ;
Thy spirit deceive.
If I should meet thee
After long years,
How should I greet thee?
With silence and tears.
When we two parted
In silence and tears.
Half broken hearted
To severe for years.
Pale grew thy cheek and cold
Colder thy kiss;
Truly that hour fore told
Sorrow to this.

Poem: We Need to learn to appreciate smaller things of life
Life
Life is indeed full of wonders
At each step we come across unexpected things
Which are incomprehensible?
At times the life appears to be sweet
At times bitter
Our life revolves around people who we know
Both our friends and relatives.
When good things happen to them
We are greatly pleased
When they suffer
So do we
When we are pleased
Life seems to be too short
When we aren’t
It seems to be too long.
We need to learn
To look at the brighter side of things.
I know its better said than done.
It’s because of this I said learn.
We ought to train ourselves
To appreciate small things.
For there lies great hidden treasures.
Smile of an infant has the potential
To relieve us from all our days fatigue
Innocent talks of toddlers
Do make us feel light
And shed the gloom of night
And encouraging words leaves its mark
To dispel the dark.
Life is indeed full of wonders
At each step we come across unexpected things
Which are incomprehensible?
At times the life appears to be sweet
At times bitter
Our life revolves around people who we know
Both our friends and relatives.

God was with me But I wasn't with Him!
On 20th Jan 09 I had met with an accident and had a narrow escape from death. I saw death coming to me for more than four to five times within, I presume, 2 to 3 seconds. I was riding a scooter and had my father in law Mr.Harjeet Singh Oberai with me, as a pillion rider. He was sitting with both his legs on one side. We were descending the Shastri Bridge at Jabalpur and were heading towards the Chotti line crossing of Gorakhpur. It was 6 pm and the traffic from both the sides was very heavy and must have been moving at a speed of 30 to 40 kms/hr. We were overtaking an auto rickshaw and everything was appearing to be normal. All of a sudden a Maruti 800 car of white colour ( No MP 20 __ 1352 ) tried to overtake both auto and us. On realizing that the space was insufficient the car dashed with our scooter and for a sec or two both the car and our scooter moved together while rubbing each other. Before I could do anything the car moved ahead and as we had become imbalanced we fell on the road on the right side right in front of the vehicles coming from ahead. My first brush with death was when I hit the road with full impact. My head hit the road but was saved because of my turban. Due to the momentum I kept moving towards a luxury coach which was coming from ahead. I was heading directly towards the front of the bus but due to driver's alertness I escaped from hitting it for he managed to go to his left. But still it was not over. I was now rolling towards the back wheels of the bus. I sensed that this was the end. But again miraculously my right arm hit something, either the road or the side body of the bus for I was thrown aside and I narrowly missed the back wheels of the bus. At this moment also my body was still rolling and I saw a white car heading towards me which was trying to overtake the bus. Here too my luck was great that the driver of the car saw what was happening and stopped within an inch or so away from my flat body which was lying on the road. All this took place within 3 to 4 seconds. After realizing that I had escaped from death as well as any major injury I turned around to look out for my father in law. I saw him lying on the road with his head down. He was bleeding profusely. I was very worried at that moment for him. But it was a great relief to see that he was not injured seriously. The bridge of his spectacles had cut his nose from where he was bleeding. He too had got bruises like me on the knees and hands. We immediately stopped an auto and went to the hospital. Meanwhile the Maruti car had escaped. But few people had noted the number and had given it to us. In the hospital the doctor advised us to apply ice for two hours to all the places where we had sustained wounds. At around 8:15pm the wounds were bandaged. This ice treatment was really very helpful for lot of pain was reduced and moreover there were no swellings. The accident really taught me that in life we got to be aware that accidents can take place from behind too. One regret which I have now is that during those crucial moments while I was escaping from the jaws of death, I was not able to remember God. I was only trying to avoid getting hit. It proves that still there is long long way for me to come close to the God. I was not close to Him, but He sure was and protected both me and my father in law to escape from something which could have been too serious than what it turned out to be.
