The mind goes blank. It happens when I pick the pen and have a paper to write on. I’m sure it happens with many of us. So many thoughts keep going on in mind but indeed it becomes so difficult to pen them down. I really envy those who have the knack of expressing themselves in writing.
The other day one of my students who had qualified for his MBBS and had been my student for about 6 years told me that he has maintained a diary and has been writing in it various things discussed or advice given by me in the class for all these years. I didn’t get the chance of seeing what he had written for I didn’t meet him afterwards but have a desire to do so.
I have come across many students who have a flair for writing and feel bad at the fact that they don’t take to it seriously. I consider both speaking and writing as skills of communication. Communication, in whichever form it may be, should be meaningful, should fulfill the purpose and last but not the least should be interesting. Hence, in order to be a good communicator one should have both command over the language as well as should know what he wants to communicate. For achieving this one has to constantly keep in touch with the language skills and also keep searching for etc. knowledge
